Newsletter Project
The newsletters curated and published here are part of a larger project hosted over at Samwise Agency — a personal publishing platform for automated, AI-assisted newsletters covering the topics JD follows most closely.
The idea is simple: instead of spending an hour every morning scanning RSS feeds, newsletters, and news sites, the system does it automatically — pulling in the best content, organizing it, and publishing a daily digest. It runs on a combination of custom automation, AI curation, and WordPress.
What’s Being Published
Samwise Agency currently publishes daily newsletters across several beats:
- Tech & AI — the daily digest of the most important developments in artificial intelligence, robotics, and technology
- Formula 1 — race news, team updates, and everything happening in the paddock
- MLB Baseball — scores, standings, trades, and the storylines worth following
- Greater Toronto Area — local news, events, and what’s happening around the GTA
The Technology Behind It
Each newsletter is generated using a pipeline that combines web scraping, RSS aggregation, and large language model summarization. The content is reviewed, formatted, and published automatically on a daily schedule. It’s an ongoing experiment in what “automated publishing” can actually look like when you do it yourself rather than relying on a third-party tool.
